A mysterious virus has entered Limerick city. It is nicknamed The Vagabond virus due to its travelling nature. It has infected society in two ways, while it infects humans it also infects the digital world. It is a computer virus. The virus needs human hosts to survive, and latches onto vulnerable humans. It takes on the human form and causes them to behave strangely. The genetic DNA of the virus is secreted onto the body of the host. This is made up of a cyanotype blueprint of the space itself and the actions the host is performing.
The virus has manifested on our planet as it can see the consequences the technological age will have on society itself. This virus was created to crash all digital technology. It makes the humans who are consumed by this technological society interact with the structures around them. It causes them to appreciate this real urban jungle and not the virtual worlds that consume them.

Brain drain is a animated video using the styles of cut out and pixilation animation. This video explores a dyslexic faced with difficult situations and how she uses humorous coping mechanisms to find a way out of these situations. Maria created this video because while she used to feel shame and guilt surrounding her dyslexia she now finds her mistakes due to dyslexia humorous. ( shown in the 'we are the proposers' exhibition)
This animation is a paper style, drawn form of stop motion. In this animation Maria shows the route she took within the city of Berlin where she conducted her 12 park performances. She performed as her brain character.
.These videos are experimental videos testing of the method of cut out stop motion animation. They centre around the ideas of the dyslexic brain. The pulsing of the brain is the anxiety and panic felt when a dyslexic is in a difficult of stressful situation.
